anecdotes, reflections, insights, opinions, lessons learned and taught along this magical journey that i am happily sharing with my flying knight.
Last Tuesday, I woke up and looked out the window and saw the first snow for this winter. No doubt about it, Christmas is here !
While I still find temperatures below 40 degrees a little bit of a challenge, I have to admit that it would not feel like Christmas without the snow. I remember when we did not have snow for Christmas last year (we had snow only after the New Year) I kept telling David, "It does not feel like Christmas!". Considering that I have spent the first 40 plus years of my life celebrating Christmas without snow, David finds it amusing that I felt Christmas was incomplete without it
.
The changing of the seasons is still a novelty for me and it is hard to believe that we have completed the cycle of the seasons in our new home.
When we moved in last spring and this was how the house looked like.

As we were getting settled, summer slipped by and, before we knew it, we were blessed with the lovely colors of autumn.

Then winter came with her own unique beauty.

Yes, it is definitely beginning to look a lot like Christmas and I am in complete owe with the manner in which nature ushers in the magnificence of Christmas.
Just as nature pays homage to this season by covering the earth with the immaculate splendour of her snow, may we all pay homage to Christmas by heeding it's message....peace on earth and goodwill to all of God's creation.
